As we journey across the lifespan, our needs and focus change. What we need from school, service provider agencies, support groups, local advocacy organizations, and Maryland services, is quite different from when our children are very young to when they reach adulthood.
In this section, we look at multiple life aspects — health, social and relationships, education, employment, housing, transportation, financial, advocacy, assistive technology, and support and respite — and we address each by what is needed for every age. We have included "Lifespan Checklists" by age which include the agencies you need to contact, the service 'wait lists' you need to be on, and the age appropriate issues you need to address. We then direct you to the information you need to take these actions.
We encourage you to check back often as we are constantly updating the information in this section and adding new resources.
