I/DD In-Service Training Class - Open to All LE Agencies

The MPCTC is hosting an in-service training session on Understanding Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) open to all LE agencies in Maryland. This program, developed and taught by Pathfinders for Autism, provides police with scenario-based instruction with practical application in the field, to be able to identify procedures that an officer should /may employ when encountering an individual with I/DD.

This training is free of charge however you must register.

Since 2015, IDD training has been required in all MD LE academy programs. Due to the importance if I/DD training for all officers, the PTC has now mandated that all LE who did not receive I/DD training during their academy program receive such training prior to December 31, 2017.
