Following up on President Barack Obama’s October 2009 announcement of his groundbreaking initiative to increase the employment of people with disabilities in the Federal Workforce, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the Department of Labor (DOL’s) Office of Disability Employment Policy are hosting a day of hiring people with disabilities in Washington, DC on April 26th. A variety of job opportunities will be available in over 30 federal agencies, in every department from the National Institute of Health to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The Federal Hiring Event for People with Disabilities is a chance for some adults on the autism spectrum to explore opportunities to work for the federal government.
