Autism Training Series with Sherry Moyer

The Division of Rehabilitation Services is proud to announce an encore presentation sponsored by Pathfinders for Autism. With such an overwhelming response to the four previous training sessions, Sherry Moyer has agreed to come back for another session on April 24th entitled: Families, Residential Facilities and Other Important Influences on Vocational Placements for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.This Training will focus on the following objectives:
Participants will:
Demonstrate interviewing and communication strategies that support productive relationships with family members or caregivers.
Provide strategies for staff in residential facilities to improve vocational outcomes.
Review all major concepts from previous four training sessions, including an opportunity for participants to engage in making recommendations and developing strategies for mock cases.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE APRIL 17th
Interested DORS Staff shall complete the DORS In Service Training Application through supervisory channels.
Non DORS staff shall complete a registration form and submit it to DORS/ ATTN: Melissa Pemberton via fax at 410-261-2940 or mail to 2301 Argonne Drive Baltimore MD 21218.
