Exploring Human-Companion Animal Interaction for Families of Children with Autism

Eligibility Criteria: Parents of children with an (Autism Spectrum Disorder) ASD aged 3 to 18, (one parent per family). This study is open to families with or without a dog in the home.

This study is looking at the potential benefits or drawbacks of pet ownership among families and children with ASD. The information that you provide will help build the foundation for enhancing treatment effectiveness concerning the use of companion animals. The online survey will take you about 15-20 minutes to complete. The survey which will ask you about your family, pet ownership experiences, attitudes toward pets and an opportunity to share any thoughts you have about dog ownership in families with child with ASD. 

You will be given the opportunity to provide your email address if you wish to be included in a lottery drawing for one of 50 universal gift cards in the amount of $50.00. The survey is anonymous and the email address will not be linked to your responses.
